e-Learning for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards are two new training modules delivered by e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) in partnership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
The modules form part of the DoLS training provided by the Department of Health (DH) and the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych). They aim to equip medical practitioners with the knowledge they need to undertake the role of mental health assessor in relation to DoLS.
The content has been written by subject specialists and combined with technical expertise and has undergone extensive peer review.
The modules incorporate case studies and include input from service users and carers. They are designed to fit in with busy work-study lives and aim to be useful, engaging and enjoyable.
e-Learning for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards is available via the National LMS, the e-learning platform fully integrated with the Electronic Staff Record. (www.esrsolution.co.uk/nlms/). Being integrated with the ESR means results can be recorded against an individual’s portable employee record.
