e-lefENT will provide a self directed learning initiative in Otorhinolaryngology that compliments current training strategies.
Developed by ENT UK in partnership with e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) and other professional bodies, e-lefENT will deliver high quality learning materials to enhance the training of Otolaryngologists.
The materials will be evidence based and reflect good clinical practice helping to develop sound knowledge application. The e-learning knowledge sessions will utilise actual case scenarios and will incorporate a number of dynamic interactive learning techniques.
The discipline of Otolaryngology lends itself to this type of electronic learning and will use to its advantage the visual imagery and interactivity to reinforce knowledge and make it relevant to the individual Otolaryngologist.
It is intended that the 750 sessions of e-learning within e-lefENT will address much of the defined Intercollegiate Speciality Curriculum Programme (ISCP).
