e4Equipment will be led by NHS Training for Innovation (TFI), previously Training Hub for Operative Technologies in Healthcare (THOTH).

e4Equipment imageNHS TFI is a programme within the Department of Health responsible for providing evidence based training to support the safe use of advanced medical equipment and establishing the medical equipment training curriculum.

The curriculum provides a framework for training initiatives to support the implementation of new medical equipment technology into NHS Trusts.

This e-learning resource will support the development and updating of registered practitioners, and support staff throughout the NHS, in line with good practice.

Written and approved by Medical Equipment trainers and developed and managed by the e4E Editorial Board, e4Equipment will initially consist of 200 sessions split into five modules:

  • Infusion Devices – Volumetric Pumps
  • Infusion Devices – Syringe Pumps
  • Suction Units
  • Pressure Relieving Devices
  • Thermometry
