Radiotherap-e is a web-based e-learning resource produced in partnership with The Royal College of Radiologists, the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine, the Society and College of Radiographers, and DH e-Learning for Healthcare.
Radiotherap-e is for the trained workforce involved in the delivery of radiotherapy, including clinical oncologists, physicists, radiographers and dosimetrists.
It will provide the knowledge base and practical skills training to support the implementation of advanced radiotherapy techniques in the UK.
Topics covered include image interpretation and target volume delineation, dosimetry planning and optimisation, quality assurance and patient care.
In addition to interactive learning sessions, unique tools are being developed to allow remote assessment of target volume delineation and dosimetry plans. This can be used to support competency assessment, continuing professional development and recertification.
