About the Clinical Waste Segregation – A guide for nursing staff in the safe management of healthcare waste programme
The NHS clinical waste strategy and related Health Technical Memorandum have recently been published. This animation is intended to support front line nursing staff to understand the NHS clinical waste strategy and related Health Technical Memorandum, and to ensure they comply with NHS waste segregation requirements.

The animation supports the NHS clinical waste strategy, published on 7th March 2023 and the new Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) 07-01, Safe and sustainable management of healthcare waste. The animation will be linked to the NMC standards of proficiency.
