Health Education England elearning for healthcare (HEE elfh) is reminding the health and care workforce about the free elearning programme that supports the theoretical standards of the Care Certificate.
The Care Certificate is an identified set of standards that the health and care workforce adhere to in their daily working life. The Care Certificate was developed to provide structured and consistent learning to ensure that care workers have the same introductory skills, knowledge and behaviours to provide compassionate, safe, quality care and support.
The Care Certificate consists of 15 standards, all of which individuals need to complete in full before they can be awarded their certificate. The standards require both theoretical study and practical application within the student’s place of work.
The Care Certificate elearning programme has been developed to further support the theoretical component of each standard of the Care Certificate, and is freely available to staff in the health and care sectors. It is based on the Care Certificate workbook, which was developed by Health Education England, Skills for Care and Skills for Health.
