Health Education England elearning for healthcare (HEE elfh) partnered with Public Health England (PHE), Sport England and This Mum Moves to develop the Physical Activity for Health elearning programme, providing healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to provide brief physical activity advice to their patients.

The Great British Week of Sport is taking place from Saturday 19 September to Sunday 27 September, as a new initiative led by UKactive, with support from Public Health England’s Better Health campaign and Sport England.  The awareness week aims to highlight the benefits that sport and physical activity have on people’s mental and physical wellbeing.

More about the elearning programme

Did you know that one in four people stated that they would be more active if they were advised by a GP or nurse?

The HEE elfh Physical Activity for Health elearning programme is free and encourages healthcare professionals to initiate conversations with patients relating to the benefits of physical activity in preventing and managing a range of common conditions and supporting general health.
