Health Education England elearning for healthcare (HEE elfh) has worked in partnership with Health Education England and Macmillan Cancer Support to develop additional elearning modules on prehabilitation and rehabilitation in people with cancer.
The Prehabilitation, Rehabilitation and Personalised Care (PRosPer) elearning programme aims to support healthcare colleagues who work with and care for people with cancer, as well as physical activity instructors and those in the leisure industry, in developing their skills on providing personalised care.
The new modules feature a range of topics including:
* Prehabilitation screening, assessment and interventions
* Rehabilitation screening, assessment and interventions including all symptoms and side effects associated with cancer and its treatment
* Service redesign and workforce, which includes service video case studies and patient videos of what people living with cancer expect from cancer services.
It complements the 1st module, launched in 2021, which provides colleagues with an introduction to prehabilitation, rehabilitation and personalised care and support.
A How to Guide, developed by Macmillan Cancer Support in collaboration with over 50 stakeholders, encompasses designing, developing and funding personalised cancer prehabilitation and rehabilitation services in supporting people living with cancer is also available via HEE elfh.
