Following two years of research, the TEL Research and Academic Development team led by Chris Munsch and Alison Potter, have had their research paper published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research.

Their study looked at available evidence for the effectiveness of digital education in healthcare and attempted to identify any gaps in the evidence. They undertook an extensive review of the current scientific literature, from which a final short list of 63 potential research questions was identified. They then undertook an expert consensus modified Delphi exercise with educators, academics and learners. This led to agreement on the five priority research questions for digital education in healthcare

The paper, Identifying Research Priorities in Digital Education for Health Care: Umbrella Review and Modified Delphi Method Study’, now provides a comprehensive list of research questions, identifies priority areas for future research and is an important contribution to the literature on digital education.
