About the Guidance for Teaching Online for Healthcare Educators programme
These elearning resources were developed to enable all healthcare educators in planning and delivering online teaching sessions. The elearning sessions aim to support healthcare educators to incorporate online teaching in their practice and use technology to enhance the learning process for students.
The sessions have been designed to help healthcare educators move between face to face and online teaching effectively.
Session 1: This session explores the opportunities, challenges and misconceptions associated with online learning. It offers guidance on the factors that need to be considered when planning your online teaching.
Session 2: This session explores the practical aspects of teaching online, explains how to select an online platform and describes how online tools can enrich the learning experience for educators and students.

This resource aims to provide learners with information about the principles of supervision. It was developed for workplace supervisors as an alternative to single day training.
This resource was developed to provide an overview and a working knowledge of virtual group clinics in general practice, including the benefits of online consultations, delivery principles and outcomes.
Supervision of COVID–19 Displaced or Shielding Trainees
This resource is aimed at clinical supervisors and educational supervisors to help them tailor their supervision to trainees who may be displaced or shielding. It aims to aid and inform supervisors on the experience of shielding for a trainee and identify and signpost key resources. In addition, these resources support the educational supervisor in communicating with their wider team regarding the experience of the shielding trainee.
