The NHS People Plan 2020-21 sets out a number of health and wellbeing ambitions that aim to enable NHS organisations to create cultures of wellbeing, in which their workforce feel supported and well at work. One of the ambitions in the NHS People Plan is a programme of work that encourages all NHS organisations to roll out a network of Health and Wellbeing Champions, in a way that works best for their organisation.
This network of Champions will be able to support colleagues as needed, signpost to relevant resources and regularly check in. In turn, this will support the ambition to embed cultures of inclusion, compassion and wellbeing across the NHS.
The elearning programme has been developed to support champions in understanding their role. The session is intended for all appointed Health and Wellbeing Champions to complete.
Health and Wellbeing Champions, Health and Wellbeing Allies, Health and Wellbeing Officers, or Health and Wellbeing Advocates working in any NHS organisation.
In this elearning programme, Health and Wellbeing champions can expect to learn more about the role of a champion and how to implement what they learn across their organisations.
The elearning programme includes 1 session in 7 sections.
The session takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and includes knowledge checks, which aim to explore your understanding of the content. Champions can download a certificate after completing the session.
