About the Sexual and reproductive health for health visitors programme
This programme comprises 3 sections to support health visitors with promoting sexual and reproductive health to all families they work with. As part of this programme you will first complete Health Education England elearning for healthcare (elfh)’s All Our Health: Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV elearning, which will be referred to during the session.
The following additional programmes are referred to during the sessions and can be accessed via elfh once you have completed this programme.
- Contraceptive Needs of Women Following Pregnancy
- Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA)
- Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
- Perinatal Mental Health
- Supporting a Smokefree Pregnancy and Smokefree Families (SCP).

How to access
In order to access the Sexual and Reproductive Health for Health Visitors programme, you will need an elfh account. If you do not have one, then you can register by selecting the Register button below.

Not an NHS organisation?
If you are not an NHS health or care organisation and therefore do not qualify for free access elfh Hub, you may be able to access the service by creating an OpenAthens account.
To check whether or not you qualify for free access via OpenAthens, you can view the eligibility criteria and register on the ‘OpenAthens’ portal.
