Education and training framework
As part of the wider NHS response to COVID-19, HEE’s TEL team has been working with NHS England and NHS Improvement to develop an education and training framework. The framework will support organisations to assess the skills their clinicians require to perform new roles, depending on the care setting, then access online or locally delivered training based on any skills gap or refresher training where required.
These resources, which include elfh content, will enable members of the workforce to develop the right skills to care for their patients’ needs and feel more confident performing their care roles, while protecting themselves and their families.
The education and training framework is now available here to support organisations to assess the skills their clinicians require to perform new roles.
If you have any questions about the framework please email: nhsi.covideducationaltraining@nhs.net.
17 April: A set of resources to support Returning Midwives has been added to the folder called “Resources for Nurses, Midwives and AHPs Returning to work, being Redeployed or Up-Skilled”. We have created resources to support AHPs working in critical care and primary and community care.
We have also added resources to support radiologists working with COVID-19 patients. The content is in the folder called “Resources for Staff Working in Acute Hospital Setting” and can be found here.
