Posted on: August 3rd, 2023 by Louise Garrahan No Comments

NHS England elearning for healthcare has worked with the Pfizer to develop a new programme on the current and future management of atopic dermatitis, also known as atopic eczema.

This very common skin condition, caused by skin inflammation, may start at any age but the onset is often in childhood. 1 in every 5 children in the UK is affected at some stage. It may also start later in life in people who did not have atopic dermatitis as a child.

The 30-minute session looks at the pathophysiology, risk factors, clinical manifestation, patient experience, current treatment and future therapeutic treatments of atopic dermatitis.

It is aimed at healthcare professionals with an interest in atopic dermatitis, such as GPs, children’s community nurses, health visitors, practice nurses, dermatology trainees, paediatric and dermatology nurses and pharmacists.

For more information and to access the new session please visit the Current and Future Management of Atopic Dermatitis programme page.
